Hardwire takes the protection of critical bridge elements one step further with the introduction of it’s next generation of cable armor products. The Series 2000 Bridge Armor product line not only increases the amount and type of protective qualities of the armor, but allows for unparalleled ease of cable inspection. The unique clamp design allows for the shield to be opened for inspection purposes without the need for cranes in addition to better clamping force to conform to irregular cable dimensions. Series 2000 also incorporates an integrated non-skid walking surface and the ability to discreetly customize the protection within certain areas of the shield. It is fully compatible with CABLEGUARD™ Elastomeric Wrap corrosion protection system. This system is customizable to different levels of threats based on the protection requirements for individual sections of the structure.
The Hardwire Series 2000 Bridge Armor for main cable protection consists primarily of two specific components-the bracket assembly and the shield assembly. Both of these components are fully customizable to adapt to any structure. The armor system incorporates Hardwire’s STP System, or Standard Threat Protection. This system offers resistance to mechanical cutting, thermal / torch cutting, ballistic penetration, and blast threats.
MC-2000-BRKT-This bracket assembly mounts directly to the cable and is available for structures with 6 inch to 40 inch diameter cables.

- /SS - 316 Stainless Steel with stainless steel high-temperature hardware.
- /CG - DS Brown "CABLEGUARD" approved backing system.
MC-2000-SHLD - This shield assembly mounts to the MC-2000-BRKT assembly. The shield can have many different configurations due to the corresponding levels of threats and design of the structure.
