STEP 1: INSTALLATION

To learn how to install the ERS in your school, view our video below.

*Note: The shields are 25lbs, make sure to use the included hardware only to mount your shield on either masonry or drywall.

 

STEP 2: TRAINING

Train your staff, faculty, and School Resource Officer with on of the training videos below!

*Both videos offer the same ERS training; however, if your school has protocols that differ from the DHS recommended, "RUN, HIDE, FIGHT" active shooter response protocol, select the second video.

STEP 3: UPDATE YOUR SCHOOL'S EMERGENCY PLAN

Use the following checklist to make sure your active shooter emergency plan is up to date.

1. Add a map of where all shields are located.

2. Add a link or QR code to the training video; you can download the QR Codes below.

3. At the beginning of each school year, hold a staff training session where everyone watches the video, holds the shield, and gets a map of their locations throughout the school.
