HardwireŽ is a family of reinforcements made from ultra high strength twisted steel wires (11 times stronger than typical steel plate) which can be molded into thermoset, thermoplastics or cementitious resin systems. Now, for the first time you can mold high tensile steel into your thermoset composites. You can add structural reinforcement to your thermoplastic parts where previously not possible with any other materials. Ballistic panels can now have the instantaneous stiffness that is so critical to successful stops. Blast resistant structures can be retrofitted on-site by simply spraying resin systems directly through the reinforcement, some curing in as little as 8 seconds. Your composite panels can behave with ductility, denting and not shattering, bending and not catastrophically failing. Concrete structures can be upgraded on site by adding the equivalent of external rebar systems while the use of a new class of cementitious adhesion systems create more fire retardant structures. Wood products can be improved with the addition of high modulus steel layers that can still be cut and nailed into.

In a nutshell, HardwireŽ provides high strength (up to 8 kips/in) and high modulus (up to 12M psi) in a very thin, ductile envelope which is available to a very wide range of applications.
